Compared to Cialis, Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets are 80-90% more affordable, without compromising the drug’s effectiveness and potency. Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets are available in the same dosage options as Cialis, which essentially makes Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets similar in every way to their branded counterpart. Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets became available in 2017 and have now more than a dozen drug manufacturers around the world.
Due to the overwhelming demand for cheaper Cialis alternatives, pharmaceutical companies began synthesizing and manufacturing Tadalafil overseas, in countries such as China and India. While these imported Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets cost slightly lower than Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets manufactured in the United States, the manufacturing process and quality control of these medications do not necessarily follow the strict drug manufacturing standards of the United States, which leads many to question the quality, potency, and effectiveness of these cheaper imported Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets.
ispersal pollsterTadalafil is also available in a doctor-determined mixture of generic Cialis (Tadalafil) and the brand-name version’swen-likecitrate. This makes it easier for patients to stick with when using Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets compared to Cialis’s generic alternatives. “The drug’s potency and effectiveness are its characteristics, which is important for clinicians to consider when determining the appropriate dosage of a drug,” says Joshua Leven, M. D., Professor of Pediatrics at the Weill Medical Academy in WestMinn, New Zealand.
Patients usually pay around $20-$40 for generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets compared to about $15-$20 for brand-name Generic Cialis (Tadalafil). “The manufacturing process of the medications follow the same rules as for branded drugs,” he adds.
A notable advantage of generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets is their cost. Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets can be purchased in the region of $25-$50 for about one-third of the cost of the branded version.
Levent says that while generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets cost about the same as Cialis (Tadalafil), they do not have the same accessibility and affordability in comparison to branded versions. “With generics, the price per tablet is roughly the same, which can make the medications more accessible, less invasive, and affordable,” he says.
According to the United States National Library of Medicine website, the current “high end” counterfeit product count of generic Cialis (Tadalafil) tablets is about 12,500, while the site claims that there is an “at a higher volume count” compared to the site.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of tadalafil in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in a population with chronic ED.
We conducted a prospective, controlled study using the Mounjaro Erectile Dysfunction Treatment Program (MEPS) between March and September 2019. The study was approved by the ethics committee of the University of Central Florida (UCCF), and all participants provided written informed consent.
The study design was a cross-sectional design and included patients with chronic ED treated at the University of Central Florida (UCCF) between March and September 2019. The subjects were followed up by the investigators at the UCCF, including a health examination, sexual function questionnaires, and other screening methods. The average age of the participants was 50 years. The exclusion criteria were the following: history of cardiovascular disease, history of diabetes, history of diabetes mellitus, history of prostate cancer, history of hypertension or dyslipidemia, or previous use of any other medications in the previous 12 months.
A total of 605 patients with ED were recruited in the study. A total of 195 patients had at least one of the following: ED symptoms (ED symptoms; frequency or urgency, burning; loss of libido, erectile dysfunction); history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, or history of prostate cancer; and other cardiovascular disease or diabetes, and other conditions. A total of 277 patients were also enrolled in the study.
The patients were followed up for the following 3 months at the UCCF: the first visit, in which the subject was examined by the investigator and assessed by a clinical physician (an expert in sexual medicine) in a private clinic; the second visit, in which a clinical physician (an expert in sexual medicine) was involved in the study and assessed by the study investigator, by a medical and psychiatric clinician (an expert in sexual medicine) in a private clinic; the third visit, in which the subjects underwent a sexual function questionnaires and other screening procedures; and the fourth visit, in which a medical and psychiatric clinician was involved in the study. The patients were followed up for a minimum of 3 months. The mean age of the participants was 50 years. The exclusion criteria were the following: history of cardiovascular disease, history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, or other cardiovascular disease, and other conditions.
Of the 407 patients in the study, 277 (65.4%) were male. The mean age was 46.4 years (range, 34–75). Of the patients with ED, 95 (45.6%) were diagnosed with ED in a hospital setting. The mean duration of ED symptoms was 14.9 (11.1–21.4) months. The mean duration of ED symptoms was 2.5 (1.3–4.3) months, which was significantly longer than the duration of ED symptoms in the general population [
]:
In the overall population, 95.6% of the patients had mild ED symptoms (ED symptoms score ≥ 4) and 95.2% had moderate ED symptoms (ED symptoms score ≥ 3). Among the patients with mild ED symptoms, the mean duration of ED symptoms was 3.3 (1.7–5.2) months, which was significantly longer than the duration of ED symptoms in the general population [
In the overall population, 94.9% of the patients had ED symptoms score ≥ 4, and 95.3% had moderate ED symptoms score (ED symptoms score ≥ 3).

1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

Vancouver, B. C. (April 23, 2020) - The U. S. Food and Drug Administration today announced it has approved the first oral tadalafil (Cialis®) treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) in Canada. The approval, which is based on clinical evidence, has the potential to improve the effectiveness of tadalafil by allowing men with ED to maintain a firm erection more easily.
“This approval marks a significant step forward in the fight against erectile dysfunction,” said John Ricks, Senior Director of Global Health and Human Rights. “The Canadian regulatory process has been a game-changer for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and the American people.”
Tadalafil belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps men achieve and maintain an erection. In Canada, tadalafil is only approved for patients with erectile dysfunction. The FDA’s approval of tadalafil for ED will be based on extensive clinical data and available data on the safety and efficacy of the drug.
The FDA also announced a review of the potential for tadalafil to be used for other indications beyond ED and other common health problems.
